China ZhongTie Major Bridge Engineering Group has received the Wu Su bridge and approach roads project that will link China to the Eurasian continent.

The 1,606m-long Wu Su Bridge is located in the eastern part of the Chinese territory, stretching into Russia, according to english.peopledaily.com.cn.

The bridge is expected to have a 140m-cable-steeled main span and is estimated to cost about 400 million yuan ($59m).

The arterial roads of the project are expected to have a designed speed of 80km per hour with two-lane dual carriageways, and will expand into four lanes.

The projects in the Heixiazi Islands of Heilogjiang Province is expected to be completed in 2012.
