The 10km-long, 780m-wide Xiamen-Zhangzhou Bridge in China will be completed in 2013.

Construction of its two 227m-tall cable supported towers is scheduled to be finished in August this year.

Haiping Flyover, South Main Bridge, Haimen Island Flyover and North Main Bridge are the four major parts of the bridge.

The standard six-lane two-way freeway bridge has a 33.5m-wide subgrade, according to whatsonxiamen.com.

The bridge is expected to reduce travel time from Haicang of Xiamen to Longhai of Zhangzhou to 30 minutes.

Xiamen-Zhangzhou Bridge is expected to be the sixth longest bridge in China and the ninth longest worldwide.
