The Philippines is seeking a $500m loan from the Asian Development Bank for road repairs and maintenance, to improve the nations road network.

The multi-tranche loan will be used to fund the country’s Road Sector Institutional Development and Investment Programme.

The first phase of the project involves periodic road maintenance of selected national roads as well as road design works.

The second and third phases include repairing the selected roads apart from maintenance and design.

The feasibility study of the roads has already been finished.
