Sweden-based company TagMaster will launch its new model of automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera, the CitySync 50 at Amsterdam’s Intertraffic 2016 show.

TagMaster, which is a manufacturer of modern radio frequency identification (RFID) products and ANPR cameras for long range vehicle identification in traffic solutions and rail solutions, has developed the latest ANPR camera through its UK-based ALPR specialist unit, CitySync.

The new CitySync 50 camera is an all-in-one camera that can be used in the parking, traffic, and access control or security markets.

"The CitySync 50 is following the launch end of last year of the CitySync 30 and shows our commitment to innovation."

In comparison to other ANPR cameras, which can read license plates on-board and trigger barriers from a white-list, the CitySync 50 provides a wide range of on-board capabilities.

The new camera is equipped with different illumination options that include both infra-red and white light and can deliver the best quality images, irrespective of plate type, as well as lighting conditions.

Developed through collaboration between the technical teams of CitySync and TagMaster, the CitySync 50 can generate up to two separate relays depending on multiple rule groups.

It can also provide email alerts, act as a Wiegand device, as well as communicate directly with LED signs, without requiring further PCs or software.

The CitySync 50 uses a web-based interface and configuration wizard that help reduce both setup times and costs, along with an HD sensor that eliminates the necessity for varifocal configuration.

Several CitySync 50 cameras can be linked with the JetParking Server software that allows car park overstay or dwell-time analysis.

CitySync ANPR product manager Danny Malone said: "There has been a renewed drive since the TagMaster acquisition, to get high quality products to the market quickly and efficiently.

"The CitySync 50 is following the launch end of last year of the CitySync 30 and shows our commitment to innovation."

CitySync, which is developing one of the fastest and most precise algorithms for the reading of license plates, has developed the new ANPR camera to be used worldwide.

In July 2015, TagMaster bought the CitySync ANPR from US company Image Sensing Systems (ISS), reported Traffic Technology Today.
