Delta has teamed up with Pan Intellecom to deploy its 24/7 video wall at the Bangalore Traffic Management Centre in India.

Delta’s 83in x 11in video wall aims to monitor city traffic, examine incidents leading to accidents, as well as effectively manage traffic issues in real time.

Pan Intellecom managing director Harbir Singh said large displays were needed to monitor the surveillance cameras installed across the city.

"The role of video wall system was pivotal and the latest high-definition rear projection technology was the need-of-the-hour," Singh said.

The five-storey traffic management centre was built as part of a modernisation plan under the Bangalore Traffic Improvement Project (B-TRAC) and comprises a vast video wall with 64 70in diagonal cubes, as well as 40 workstations, to concurrently examine various parts of the city.

In a bid to deal with increasing traffic congestion and pollution, B-TRAC deployed surveillance cameras, junction improvement and intelligent transportation systems by adopting the latest traffic management technology.
