ADEC Technologies, a Swiss manufacturer of non-intrusive road-traffic detectors, announced today that they have released a Doppler radar traffic detector with a 75m (250ft) detection range.
The detector augments the TDD1 series of Doppler radar traffic detectors that provide simple contact closure output and allow for easy customization using an IR remote.
Markus Güntensperger, product manager at ADEC Technologies AG, explains: "While there’s great need for reliable, simple traffic detectors, we’ve seen that many customers were looking forward to a model with enhanced detection range compared to our current
DD1-MW30 model which is designed for short-range applications. Our new MW75 model provides more than double the range."
Besides other settings, the new TDD1-MW75 model can be conveniently configured for detection range of 30m / 45m and 75m (100ft/ 150ft / 250ft) using an IR remote control, available as extra accessory. The detector is specifically designed for green phase request or extension at temporary or permanent traffic lights.
