LeddarTech LiDAR-Enabled Optical Detection Systems
LeddarTech develops advanced optical detection solutions for the road industry, incorporating solid-state light detection and ranging (LiDAR) technology.
The company’s systems are used in high-growth emerging end-markets, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), industrial vehicles and automation, as well as intelligent transportation systems (ITS) applications such as traffic light control, speed monitoring, smart-parking and automated tolling.
Mass-market automotive LiDAR solutions
LeddarTech develops high-performance solid-state LiDAR sensors for advanced driver assistance systems / autonomous driving.
The performance and scalability offered by the company enables a low-cost solid-state LiDAR solution that satisfies the strictest autonomous driving requirements of the global automotive industry.
LeddarTech enables flexible sourcing of all required LiDAR components by having established the Leddar Ecosystem, which consists of specialised component suppliers and partners with expertise in microprocessors, optical components and software.
Integrated circuits for high-quality LiDAR capabilities
LeddarTech offers a suite of LeddarCore integrated circuits (ICs) for high-volume applications.
LeddarCore ICs use an optimized sequencing and data acquisition process accompanied by light wave signal processing to enable high-performance LiDAR sensing capabilities.
LeddarCore ICs aim to enable the design of affordable LiDARs for all levels of advanced driver assistance systems / automated driving (ADAS/AD) while offering original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1s maximum flexibility to develop a variety of LiDAR solutions with unique optical configurations and system integration.
Sensor modules for low-volume ranging applications
Used for low-volume applications, LeddarTech offers sensor modules that reduce development efforts and significantly accelerate time to market.
LeddarTech modules are complete, fully functional and ready-to-go single or multiple segment solid-state LiDAR sensors, which can be rapidly integrated into any customer application.
LiDAR technologies for light detection measurements on roads
LeddarTech’s unique LiDAR technology performs time-of-flight measurements using light pulses such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs), vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), or laser diodes processed through innovative algorithms. This can accurately detect, locate and measure multiple objects in a given field of view in a wide range of environmental conditions.
A Leddar-based sensor encodes multiple light pulses per second, captures and digitises the received echo, reconstructs the signal into a high-resolution digital waveform, and processes the data through proprietary algorithms and advanced signal processing to provide a reliable and accurate measurement of objects in the field of view.
