The companies of the Hill & Smith Infrastructure Products Group (IPG) joined forces at Birmingham’s NEC to showcase their extensive product portfolio at the Traffex and Parkex exhibitions from 17th – 19th April.
, 2007.
As the largest stand at Traffex 2007, the Hill & Smith Arena encompassed 500m² of floor space and played host to a show of its own, with eight companies exhibiting together to deliver the group’s message of strength, quality and diversity. The show attracted over 12,500 visitors, with steady crowds entering the Hill & Smith Arena over the three days to experience new product launches and live demonstrations.
Representing the Hill & Smith IPG were Berry Systems, who embraced the opportunity at this high profile industry event to launch their innovative modular temporary car-parking solution; TopDeck; and Varley & Gulliver, who showcased their latest vehicle restraint systems.
In attendance from the growing technology division of the IPG were Techspan and Counters & Accessories (C&A), who presented a live demonstration of their latest GPRS technology, C&A Live.
Hill & Smith brought along their FlexBeam and TransFlex systems, and, with Brifen’s wire-rope safety fence, successfully incorporated their product range into the infrastructure of the stand.
Asset International also took stance in the arena to display their Multi Applicational Safety System (MASS) and VarioGuard temporary barrier. On one area of the stand, Asset International launched their new Steel-Step Barrier system. This barrier, already successful in Europe, is now being introduced into the UK market. It is designed to open central reservations for carriageway crossover points.
In their debut exhibition since relocating to their new manufacturing facility in Chesterfield, Mallatite shone out with their passive safety crash-absorbing lighting columns and low-emission LED lanterns.
The show was a resounding success for all involved, and the dynamic atmosphere and hospitality of the stand were very well received. With over 500 light lunches being served during the three day event, the Hill & Smith arena provided plenty of food for thought. United by a design of a swirl of colours, Traffex has paved the way for further success in 2007 for the ever increasingly innovative Hill & Smith IPG.
