In July 2013, 11,500m² of self-adhesive GlasGrid was used on the modernisation of roads II/324 and II/322 in Paradubice, the Czech Republic.
The modernisation project was done in two parts, first in a new sewerage and drainage system and then with the stabilisation of base course and new asphalt layers.
Street II/324 – Chrudimská, Jana Palacha and 17. listopadu (length 2854.63m, part with GG50) Street II/322 – Teplého (length 1305.89 m).
In 2018, a visit to the upgraded street showed that there were no visible cracks and no potholes after five years in use. The only part of the road to be showing aging was the paintwork.
Following these fantastic results, the fact that ADFORS GlasGrid improves asphalt’s natural ability to reduce cracking by up to three times and provides a 50% reduction in future investment costs was supported.
