Self-adhesive GlasGrid has been utilised in Ukraine on the South Bridge across the Dnieper River.
The grid was laid on the levelling course, then sprayed by 60% bitumen emulsion 0.5l/m².
After curing, it was covered by a 5cm asphalt layer. This led to a nice installation with excellent bonding.
The contractor was a municipal company called Kievavtodormost. Caponier Grou Ltd., our official distributor for Ukraine, delivered the geogrids for the repair.
ADFORS GlasGrid increases the lifetime of a road by three times. It also provides a 50% reduction in future investment costs, a 25% reduction of the downward rut depth, and a 10% improvement in waterproofing and road drainage.
