The so-called DAL municipalities (Delfzijl, Appingedam and Loppersum) are now also using LTC Public Works & Permits. And to great effect.
On 28 February 2018, the General Regulation for Underground Infrastructure was presented in the townhall of Appingedam. Thanks to this regulation, the DAL municipalities are meeting legal requirements for ensuring good coordination of all work above and below the ground in the public space. This was followed by LTC PWP training, giving grid operators and excavation contractors the opportunity to ask questions about using the new app. This meant that everyone, municipalities and grid operators, were well-prepared and ready for the new method of working.
The main advantage is that the DAL municipalities now work in the same way as many other municipalities in Groningen such as Oldambt and Midden-Groningen. This has many advantages for grid operators in the Groningen region. They are familiar with LTC and now have an even better overview of applications for works and the current status of all planned work in the public space.
The municipality of Delfzijl will also soon start to use a link between LTC and the case management system Decos JOIN. How’s that for efficiency?
