2010 was a busy year for PIPS Technology, and everyone within the team has worked hard to continue the success of 2009. Throughout 2010, PIPS completed a number of large scale projects throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. Here is a review of PIPS activities over the last 12 months.
News releases
PIPS supplies Bradford ‘Ring of Steel’. PIPS Technology has supplied the city of Bradford with one of the most comprehensive ANPR systems in the country. The system, consisting of more than 90 cameras in total, can not only be used by the council for measuring journey times but by West Yorkshire Police. West Yorkshire Police can use the system to monitor vehicles that may have been involved in criminality and around the city.
Devon and Cornwall improves security system. PIPS Technology has supplied Devon and Cornwall Constabulary with further ANPR technology to improve their existing security, in and around the counties. The system, originally put into place in 2006, has been extended to offer the ANPR capability across more of the road network. PIPS supplied their P362 and Spike ANPR cameras to the police force to monitor points throughout Devon and Cornwall.
PIPS strengthens relationship with Ranger Services. PIPS has once again been chosen by Ranger Services to supply their P362 ANPR cameras and Autoplate software for installation in over 350 locations. PIPS ANPR technology has been chosen by Ranger to be installed in a number of supermarket car parks and motorway service stations.
Exhibitions and 2011
