Geveko has developed a new product called AquaRoute® DecoPox, which combines the performance from epoxy crosslinking with the fast drying and roll over after less than 60mins of normal water-based paint.
The hybrid waterborne and epoxy paint has good covering and self-leveling capabilities and is suitable for decorative purpose and for marking larger areas. Due to low dirt-pick up, chemical and mechanical resistance and UV-stability, AquaRoute DecoPox is used for playgrounds, parking lots, bicycle lanes, stamped asphalt for brick-look or other special application areas.
AquaRoute DecoPox is easy to use and is applied as an additional component paint after mixing. The applicator and user has proper time to finish the marking job because of the pot life of up to 24hrs. After applying the hybrid water-based and epoxy paint, water is used to clean the equipment.
In Positano, Italy, the company RAS has used AquaRoute DecoPox on stamped asphalt for creating a large colorful surface in a parking lot and a pedestrian crossing. On top, they applied PREMARK preformed thermoplastic road marking lines, squares and disable symbols for the special markings.
