To take the safety up to next level, it is imperative to measure the friction in both wheel track all-year round. To cope with the demand, ViaTech has developed a new ViaFriction.
This device is able to measure continuously both left and right wheel track.
By doing this, the operator is able to detect if there are any differences in level between them that can be of danger.
The ViaFriction split friction is a rugged system so It can be used both in winter and summer condition. For the summer application it is mandatory to use water in front of the measuring wheels. The water tank can be customised. This application seen in the picture hold 1,800l of water with makes it possible to measure 25km in split friction modus.
