International Road Dynamics (IRD) will be participating in the International Bridge Conference (IBC) between 4 and 8 June in National Harbor, Maryland, US. The IBC is attended by more than 1,200 bridge owners, engineers, government officials and designers world-wide. IRD representatives will be available to discuss the capabilities of IRD’s Bridge Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) Systems for bridge protection and vehicle data collection.
On display will be IRD’s Virtual Weigh Station (VWS), a web-based operator display showing real-time vehicle data and weights for enforcement, traffic surveillance and/or data collection at a WIM site. The VWS allows agencies to continuously collect vehicle data, identify over-loaded vehicles and divert them prior to the bridge entrance, capture vehicles images and license plate numbers.
Also, on display will be IRD’s Vehicle Information In Motion (VI2M™), a web-based traffic information management system with a central data repository for data analysis and reporting from a wide variety of bridge data sites/VWS.
IRD will be in booth 231, represented by Tom Der, VP ITS solutions and engineering, and Jiancheng Zhang, ITS sales representative.
