International Road Dynamics (IRD) will be exhibiting at the 2016 Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Conference & Exhibition from 25 to 28 September in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. IRD will be featuring several new applications for weigh-in-motion sensors and the VectorSense™ Tire Sensor Suite at TAC.
Rod Klashinsky, IRD’s vice-president of sales and special projects said, "IRD is introducing a Tire Anomaly and Classification System (TACS) that supports the screening of commercial vehicles at weigh station facilities to identify those vehicles which are unsafe due to missing or under-inflated tires. TACS makes use of IRD’s VectorSense™ Tire Sensor Suite to identify vehicles which are using wide-based tires (super singles) and will detect single / dual tire configurations for enhanced classification. We’re also excited about the Vehicle Information in Motion (VI²M™) system which brings the Internet of Things together with intelligent transportation systems."
VI²M™ provides a central repository service that allows users to combine data from multiple single-purpose sensor sites to create a complete picture of activity across their jurisdiction. Users access VI²M™ through a web-based interface that supports both standard and custom reports.
