Siemens UK, a leading traffic management company, has secured a contract to provide traffic signal network management and monitoring solutions for England’s North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC).

Under the contract, Siemens will provide its cloud-based solution Stratos, designed for all traffic management, control and monitoring requirements, to provide NYCC with a higher level of operational support.

Glasgow’s Performance Audit Group (PAGPlus), on behalf of Transport Scotland, has awarded a one-year contract to RouteShoot, a company based in the UK, to provide GPS and video capturing software for road safety inspections in Scotland.

Under the contractual terms, RouteShoot will provide a cloud-hosted video and mapping content management system for safety patrols and route inspections to PAGplus. The technology uses real-time, fully-integrated recording software that creates a version of events, similar to Google Street View.
