The Netherlands-based Nedap has entered into an agreement with Australia-based provider of payment systems ADVAM to provide integrated vehicle access and a parking payment system.

The latest integrated system includes Nedap-provided TRANSIT, which is a long-range vehicle identification reader dependent on semi-active radio frequency identification (RFID) technology.

Nedap’s TRANSIT can operate up to a range of 10m (33ft).

The combination of Nedap’s technology with ADVAM’s latest payment platforms provides a fully integrated solution that helps ease traffic flow as well as increases customer loyalty, efficiency and effective financial transactions.

ADVAM CEO Jose Da Silva said: "As a result of our partnership with Nedap we are able to deliver an integrated solution to clients and improve the efficiency of their staff, ground transport and customer parking management."

ADVAM’s ticketless solutions allow its clients to provide an account-based solution to customers for parking and transport management.

With the help of Nedap’s long-range vehicle identification technologies, travellers can easily enter, exit and pay for parking lots, and can also access a transport hub.

Further, Nedap’s MOOV system helps register the entrance and exit transactions of all vehicles, along with handling the complete vehicle access installation.

"The strategic partnership with ADVAM is a result of Nedap’s long term expertise in vehicle access technologies and mobility solutions."

Nedap Identification Systems Asia Pacific sales manager Evelien O’Sullivan said: "The strategic partnership with ADVAM is a result of Nedap’s long term expertise in vehicle access technologies and mobility solutions.

"Nedap’s vehicle identification technology and MOOV vehicle access system in combination with ADVAM’s payment application ParkCharge, Staffpark and GroundTransport, provides an excellent solution to manage staff parking, ground transport and customer loyalty parking."

Information on each vehicle access is transmitted to ADVAM system for payment processing.

The system also allows parking and transport facilities to understand their customers, analyse the way they use the facility, and manage accounts.
