Cleveland-Bridge

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has selected a design-build team featuring to deliver design and construction for the new George V Voinovich, I-90 Cleveland Innerbelt Eastbound Bridge project.

Parsons Brinckerhoff is serving as the independent quality firm (IQF) in the TGR joint venture (JV) that comprises Trumbull Corporation, The Great Lakes Construction Company, and The Ruhlin Company.

Ohio’s eastbound bridge is part of a phased project that involves replacement of the old I-90 viaduct bridge with eastbound and westbound twin bridges, each carrying five lanes of one-way traffic over the Cuyahoga River Valley.

"The demolition of the old I-90 viaduct bridge has begun."

The construction of the westbound bridge that carries bi-directional traffic has been completed, and the demolition of the old I-90 viaduct bridge has begun. The eastbound bridge is currently being designed and built.

The IQF will verify that all work is in line with the requirements of the contract documents and the quality programme.

Parsons Brinckerhoff has previously delivered projects in Ohio for ODOT and several other local agencies successfully.

The company has operated in Cleveland since 1995, and employs local professionals in transportation planning, civil and structural engineering, and construction phase services.
