<p>Romania is expected to complete the €450m Bucharest-Ploiesti highway project by 2012, which will connect the Romanian capital Bucharest to the Ploiesti city.</p><p>The highway will stretch 62km and the project is being carried out in two sections.</p><p>The first phase spans from Bucharest to Moara Vlasiei and will be constructed by the Italian consortium of Impressa Pizzarotti and Tirrena Scavi.</p><p>The second section from Moara Vlasiei to Ploiesti will be built by the Spedition UMB/Pa&Co International/Euroconstruct '98/Com-Axa association, according to romania-insider.com.</p>
