TomTom Bridge

TomTom has introduced Bridge, a new service that enables the easy integration of the company’s technology with various business applications.

The service allows businesses to develop applications, powered by the company’s navigation technology, which can be accessed through a single Bridge device, further increasing their efficiencies.

TomTom managing director Corinne Vigreux said: "TomTom Bridge opens up a world of possibilities to every business that runs a fleet of vehicles.

"We designed TomTom Bridge to be an easy and flexible way for businesses to develop applications that seamlessly connect to TomTom technology.

"TomTom Bridge offers a new way for any type of business on the move to harness the power of our technology to work more efficiently, saving time and money."

"We designed Bridge for businesses to develop applications that connect to TomTom technology."

The Bridge device features a rugged, industrial design, with a seven-inch screen, unique interface and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The device also provides lifetime TomTom maps and traffic services, along with features such as near-field communication, camera, WiFi and a 3G modem.

TomTom Bridge will be available in the second quarter of this year.

The company is also planning to launch a version of Bridge integrating the WEBFLEET fleet management platform.

Earlier this month TomTom launched its real-time traffic service in China, Taiwan and Singapore, helping drivers, businesses and governments make informed choices for tackling traffic congestion.
