UK-based company Vysionics has added a new product, Vector-Z, to its family of automatic number plate recognition (Vector ANPR) cameras.

Vector-Z is an upgraded version of the Vector family of cameras featuring higher resolution sensors provided on the scene overview and the ANPR cameras.

The latest version is equipped with motorised zoom and focus options.

According to Vysionics, these features make it easy to configure and use the camera.

The standalone ANPR camera is integrated with number plate reading libraries for almost every international format.

"Vector-Z further broadens the range of ANPR applications that the Vector family can deliver."

Vysionics sales and marketing director Geoff Collins said: "Vector-Z further broadens the range of ANPR applications that the Vector family can deliver.

"This is our most flexible and easy-to-use camera yet and will be ideal in applications where ease of setup is key".

Vysionics has also introduced Vector-IR to the latest ANPR cameras to clearly capture overview images of vehicles in complete darkness.

The synchronised infrared (IR) floodlight enables the overview cameras to capture images on a dark road, without washing out the number plate read from either the ANPR or the overview image.

The Vector family of ANPR cameras was first introduced in 2013, with more than 1,300 cameras deployed so far in both the UK and overseas. They are installed for a wide range of applications, such as average speed enforcement, journey time systems, police ANPR, car park management, bus lane enforcement, red light enforcement and congestion charging.
