Bulgaria’s Road Infrastructure Agency has opened bids to build the last 47.7km stretch of the Trakiya Highway connecting the towns of Yambol and Karnobat.

A total of 13 companies and consortiums have put in bids to build the 47.7km section, which is expected to connect the towns of Yambol and Karnobat.

The project has an estimated cost of €146m ($174m), which will be funded by the European Union.

The construction of the stretch is scheduled to begin in September this year, according to sofiaecho.com.
