Panama is undertaking two road projects at a total cost of $191.6m.

The contracts include widening the David-Boquete road and the Villa-Las Tablas Road into four lanes.

The $117.6m David-Boquete project is being carried out by Panama-based firm Cusa, according to worldhighways.com.

Work on this road is expected to be completed within three years and includes a maintenance package for an extra three years.

The other project, worth $74m, is expected to take 30 months to complete and is managed by another local firm, Meco.
