Indian infrastructure company Ashoka Buildcon has won two contracts worth INR13.89bn ($311.9m) for the construction of roads in the state of Karnataka and along the Orissa-Chhattisgarh border.

The contracts will be delivered for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis.

The first contract, worth INR9.09bn ($204m), includes the construction of an 88km four-lane road on NH-6 between Sambalpur and Baragarh in Orissa.

The project will be a toll road and will come under the NHDP Phase III project, according to myiris.com.

The second contract, worth INR4.8bn ($107.8m), includes the construction of 79.36km six-lane roads on Belgaum-Dharwad section of the NH-4.
